Island Time is on Virgin Gorda, the third largest of the British Virgin
Islands, with a resident population of only 3000 people. It is a tranquil,
unspoiled island that has a year round temperature in the 80's. |
There are fabulous, boulder strewn, white sand beaches, national parks for
walking, water sports, sail or motorboats for charter, deep sea fishing,
excellent scuba diving, opportunities to windsurf, water ski, or snorkel.
But, perhaps just as important are the things Virgin Gorda does not have:
no high rises, no neon signs, no traffic lights, no casinos, no golf, no
movie theaters. Just several excellent restaurants and informal night
clubs featuring local bands and performers. |
Island Time comes with daily maid service..... if you would like a private
chef, babysitter, jeep/scooter rentals, spa services, restaurant/dinner
reservations or taxi service, our on island property management company
can arrange it for you! |
Virgin Gorda is easy to reach. There are many direct flights from major
U.S. and European cities to San Juan or St. Thomas. From there, frequent
daily flights will take you to Virgin Gorda. You can also reach Virgin
Gorda by ferry from St. Thomas or Tortola. Please contact our on island
property management company for any information pertaining to "getting
here." |

Getting married in the British Virgin Islands is relatively simple and for visitors who are in the BVI for only a short time, the entire process can be completed in a week! |
The first step is to apply for a license by purchasing $110 in stamps from the local post office, then present the stamps to The Registrar's Office located at the Government |
Administration Office about a five minute walk from the Road Town Ferry Dock, where you will then fill out the necessary forms. Two witnesses must sign the application. You will need to present a passport and if applicable, a divorce decree or death certificate. The application will take three days to process. |
If you want to be married by the Registrar, she can be booked prior to your arrival by calling the office ahead of time BUT application for the ceremony must be made AFTER the license has been granted. The Registrar will perform the ceremony either in Road Town for a fee of $35 or Virgin Gorda for a fee of $100 + transportation costs. If you plan on being married in a local church, please contact the minister or priest for the requirements... much advanced notice is required for this! |
